Paste up to 10,000 words and Jev Detector highlights the sentences that match common AI-writing patterns. Under the hood it keeps each sentence in its original position, batches them, and sends the batches to Jev, asking for a 0 to 4 style score per sentence plus the closest match from a rubric of AI writing patterns drawn from Wikipedia. Very sentence-dense documents get grouped into adjacent passages to keep each scan bounded.
The result is a single style-signal score from 0 to 100 alongside the flagged sentences and their pattern category, and flagged text can be edited in place and rescanned. The tool is upfront about its limits: AI-style patterns show up in human writing too, so a flag is a pattern match, not proof a sentence was machine-written, and results aren’t meant to be the sole basis for a high-stakes call. The app has no accounts or document database and doesn’t save pasted text, but the text does pass through Vercel and TypeSafe, so the site warns against pasting confidential material.
